At LEON we use Fourth Hospitality as our scheduling system. Rotas are made available to team in the Fourth app which they can download onto their personal devices. This guide outlines the following aspects of rota creation:
Fourth Hospitality: Labour Productivity
Multiple Employment in labour productivity
In Labour productivity, we use different job roles to ensure our teams show in the correct area of our schedule (FoH or BoH) and to record training costs correctly against our budget.
We use the multiple employment function to create new jobs when they are required. There are two types of job roles:
Job roles that can influence the labour demand graph
| Job roles that need to be charged to a different cost centre in the budget
|
Creating job roles for FoH and BoH
As soon as your team member is cross trained, you must complete 'Multiple Employment' in HR so you can schedule them in the correct role on the schedule.
The expected presumptions of LEON job roles are:
Team Member Kitchen <->Team Member Counter
Training Champion BoH <-> Training Champion FoH
Kitchen Shifty <-> Shifty
To ensure the pay rate is the same follow the below steps:
Go to multiple employment and create a new job.
Select the location and the team member position.
First select the role (this brings forward the current pay rate)
Now select the new role.
Select a start date and end date (if its's temporary use) or leave the end date blank.
Save
If the pay rate does not appear, please check employment detail so you can enter it manually.
If you have the need for a salaried manager to work BoH, select 'management division' > salaried BoH job title.
Creating job roles for new starters and development training.
These roles are not active in your schedule and do not influence your labour demand.
Selecting the correct role ensures that the cost is charged to either training or development training. There are three roles available:
New Team Member Training
New team member training charges the cost to the Training division.
This should only be used for new team members who are initially created into fourth under the team member division.
New team member training should not exceed 80 hours.
To reflect the correct cost, multiple employ your new team member to the training division.
Hourly Development Training
Hourly Development Training charges the cost to the Development Training division.
This should be used for hourly team members only.
It covers training courses and events.
| When an employee's pay changes, this must be updated in all open multiple employments. |
Salaried Development
Salaried Development charges the cost to the Development Training division.
This should be used for Salaried members of the team only for a FULL DAY events like Leadrs of Leon, EWLW etc.
If an event takes and hour or couple of hours (like menu training) Salaried Developement ME should not be used and cost should be reflected in direct labour.
